Christmas on the beach?

For the last two months Ive been searching for a Christmas vacation spot with white sandy beaches and turquoise blue water. A place to snorkel and/or lounge on the beach! I found several great spots. One is the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Florida. It is the first underwater park in the U.S. It encompasses approximately 70 nautical square miles of coral reefs and seagrass beds. Oh the perfect place to snorkel! Another is The Siesta Key Beach.... "you will not find softer, whiter, or cleaner sand anywhere"! Awesome, I love the thoughts of lounging there! Or there is Mexico....several great places there... Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas...etc.. So, with the choices narrowed down I asked the kids to decide which place they wanted to go...only to discover that some nasty tonsils were going to prevent us from going anywhere warm and sunny! Ugh! Its true....Amber has to have her tonsils taken out, and she can only do it during Christmas break because of her teaching job. Im so bummed...we all are! So, because we were all so disappointed I decided to plan a different trip. Imagine my surprise when I found a place called McHenrys Beach at Deer Valley! LOL! We are now going to Park City, to ski at Deer Valley for a few days over Christmas. We are hoping to stay at the Silver Baron lodges, (beautiful place)...Still waiting to hear on those. I will be staying with Amber to take care of her while the others ski...We think we may "spa it up" while they are skiing! A good massage and pedicure would have to help someone with a sore throat feel better right? Ha ha, yeah... Im sure it will! Movies, skiing , shopping, spa treatments, good food, and sleep.... farewell nasty tonsils and happy holidays for us!
