Flying Friend
My friend is flying this powered parachute. He always uses the sod farm over the hill from our house for his runway. A week or so ago, he was out flying and a storm quickly came up. He hurried back to land, but by the time he got there the wind was too strong and he just hung there. I watched him try over and over again. I was nervous and kept my camera focused on him the whole time! When he could see he was running out of time before the storm hit he turned around and flew northwest toward his house. I assume he landed somewhere over there. It was kinda freaky to watch! Im glad he is safe, and look forward to talking to him about it the next time I see him.

Graduates and Rednecks

A couple weekends ago we went to Kelly, (my niece), and Kramers graduations from USU. We were surprised to discover that they were both graduating from the same program. That was kind of cool! Kelly lives in Wyoming now and did some of her schooling online. I'm proud of both of them...way to go you two! :) Then, on the way home Bret and I saw these boys swinging on a sofa tied between two trees. What a great redneck idea! Hahaha! We thought it was hilarious , so we stopped and took some photos.

Kentucky Derby!

I love the Kentucky Derby! As far back as I can remember Ive never missed watching one. Its so fun to see the women all dressed up with their hats on and all. I picked Super Saver to win and he did! Once I found out the jockey riding him was the Borel guy, (he has won the past two years in a row), and they were in the fourth gate at the start of the race, it was a no brainer! He always rides tight to the rail, and knowing he didnt even have to fight to get there I figured he had a great chance of winning. I think Im going to pick Ice Box, (maybe...lol.., it depends on where that Borel dude is..lol), to win the Preakness. In the Derby, Ice box had a bad start, came from the very back, got squished out completely once, and still took second place! Had the distance been much longer, he would have won. Sooo.... he could easy win the Preakness if he gets a smooth run. Gosh, I would so love to go to the Kentucky Derby at least once in my lifetime! Heck, I'd even wear a big fancy hat!
