I came across these messages and wanted to share, so heres my Thanksgiving wishes to my friends and family:
It is easy to be thankful for the good things in life. A life of rich fullfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitute can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings!
May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump,
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!

Clumsy Man!
On Monday last week, Bret was outside standing on a chair on the porch changing a light bulb when the chair wobbled and he fell off skinning his thigh. On the following Saturday he was moving a heavy piece of metal and it slipped from his hands and sliced into his ankle. On Monday of this week he dropped the horses water trough (which was half full of ice), onto his toes! I took the photos with my phone, so they arent very good and you cant really see how bad his wounds are! The worst by far are his toes! We are pretty sure the big toe is broken and possibly the two next to it as well. He is definitely going to lose his toenail (ew, makes me want to vomit)! Anyway, lol...poor guy.... they are all on the same leg! They say things come in threes....so hopefully he is over his clumsiness.

Oh no its Horatio!
I am a fan of the CSI shows, especially CSI Miami. One night Jim Carrey was on the David Letterman show and mimicked Horatio and his sunglasses and one liners. It was so funny! Since then, I laugh every time Horatio does it.... CSI Miami hasnt been the same to me since! Im not a fan of David Caruso, but I like the other actors. My niece is dating Jonathan Togo (Wolf) so that kinda makes it a little more interesting too. When we went on our cruise a couple of years ago we left from the port in Miami and as we were looking at the city as we were pulling out Benny said "wow mom, CSI Miami is full of crap, its not all colorful like they make it look!" Ha ha...

He thinks his tractors sexy!
Seriously, this man LOVES his tractor! Just take a look at his face! The first few weeks after he brought it home from the farm in Idaho he would disappear, and I would find him out back washing and polishing and fixing and petting his "baby"! Every now and then he starts it up and just sits on it! Once in a while takes it for a little spin around the field. One day a couple of weeks ago Ali and I went up the road on a horseback ride and when we got to the top of the hill about a mile away we saw Bret cruising up to meet us on his tractor! His face all grins! His favorite question on a quiet Sunday afternoon is..."anybody wanna go for a ride on the tractor"? Ha ha ha.... He cracks me up! How nice it is that such a simple thing can make him so happy!

Boomer
This is Boomtown (Boomer) Bryces dog. He is such an athletic dog! We love watching him play, and he is almost impossible to beat at tug-o-war!

Clouds
I have a thing for clouds! I especially love really funky ones. I have taken tons of pictures of them, but Im not very good at it, and seeing clouds with your eyes and through the lens of a camera are not the same! Its a dimensional thing. The three pictures below are just a tiny sampling of the clouds I have pictures of. I dont have a clue what Im going to do with them......kind of stupid really to have a zillion pictures of clouds taking up valuable space on my computer! When my kids were little I used to love to spread out a blanket and have a picnic in our backyard, and then lay and watch the clouds and see what shapes we could find. There were animals, monsters, lots of dinosaurs, cars and all kinds of things. My kids loved it....good memories! When you think about it, our lives are kind of like clouds... we grow and change, we have storms, we have dark days and light happy airy days.... I found out this past summer that my Nick loves clouds too. He would call me or I him whenever we saw cool clouds so we could be cloud nerds together! Gosh, it makes me miss him when I see a great cloud and cant call him! Oh...but thats ok for a while... I have a camera.......... :)
